We use Amplitude to track users' funnel. We have a different level of telecallers, based on the state of the user (inside our app like only signed up, or moved 1 level forward) lead is assigned to a specific caller. So for tracking the state of the user we use Amplitude.
  • Very well dashboard, clearly show states for specific date range.
  • It even gives you details on how many user's uninstalled the app, which no other competitor provides.
  • Multi users, multi dashboard view available.
  • Customizing dashboard is one time pain, it really took long time for us.
  • Integration is also one time pain; took ~2 weeks.
  • Moblie app view for dashboards are not good.
If your leads to the sales funnel are a multi-step process and require different levels of expertise to convert, then Amplitude can help you in tracking user's state. Also, it helps in giving a deep view of all business metrics.
  • Multi view dashboard
  • Multi users access
  • It has a positive impact as it helps you in better conversion because knowing the user's state is always good.
  • It increase efficiency of team.
  • Get all important metrics in one go saves time.

Amplitude is used as our premier product analytics tool for the LXME mobile app, helping us understand quantitative behavior of our users. It helps us understand which features of our app users are using the most, how often do they use the same, time taken for users to activate/place orders and how different cohorts of users in the app behave with respect to each other.
  • Feature analytics - measuring frequency of usage
  • Time taken by users to convert in funnels
  • Actions that drive certain user behaviors in funnels via correlation
  • Actions that lead to user drop off in funnels via correlation
  • Comparing behavior of two custom user cohorts
  • Tracking app uninstalls - very much needed for apps
  • User path finders feature can have better visualization, allowing PMs and designers to understand in a much more clear way, the path their users are taking
Well suited for -
  1. For capturing behavioral data from web based products
  2. When there is a need to understand time taken by users to activate/become paying customers
  3. When there is a need to understand what user actions lead users to become activated/paying customers
  4. When there is a need to understand what user actions lead users to drop off through a flow/funnel
  5. When there is a need to understand differences in behavior between two cohorts
Not well suited for -
  1. When uninstall information is of paramount importance to you as an organization.
  • Behavior graphs
  • Funnels - unique conversion % and time taken to convert
  • Conversion/drop off drivers
  • Cohort analysis - comparing one or more cohorts
  • Helped us determine actions that lead to an increase in install to sign up conversion
  • Helped us determine actions that lead to drop off while users invest
  • Helped us determine actions taken by paying users, increasing conversion of non-paying users to paid users
Amplitude Analytics & Mixpanel are both evenly matched in terms of features and value. Amplitude Analytics scores better in terms of conversion drives and cohort analysis in my opinion. In addition to that, Amplitude Analytics has done a lot more in terms of guiding organizations in setting up their data analytics stack which becomes very essential while setting up your product analytics suit. Hence, we as an organization opted for Amplitude Analytics

Amplitude Analytics is being used for multiple different purposes in our organization for our digital product. The digital team uses the tool for monitoring the health of digital products and analysis of customer issues. Marketing uses the tool for checking customer behavior and how marketing campaigns work in production. The product team uses the tool to create dashboards about the site and mobile apps' performance.
  • Big knowledge-base about the tool, great support from Amplitude team
  • Variety of different options to analyse product and user journey
  • Loading time for dashboards with larger number of different graphs could be improved
  • More data breakdown metrics could be implemented
Amplitude Analytics is a great tool for site/mobile app monitoring. It is easy to check API health, receipt trend, conversion rates from one step to another. Also, it is a great help in trying to figure out the patterns when something is not working. You can build a dashboard and find out where customers are dropping and what is the exact issue.
  • The tool gives us a real-time data monitoring option, which helps to spot the issues more quickly
Amplitude Analytics has a better database than Adobe Analytics. Amplitude Analytics works a lot faster and is much easier to work with than the Splunk tool.
The Amplitude Analytics team responds to the queries within a very suitable time frame. They provide a lot of informative training to maximize use of the tool.

Amplitude is used to draw reports on our users' activity based on certain events, actions or behaviors. It is mainly used by the marketing and the tech team and it is used by the marketing team to inform future decisions as well as analyze data in more detail.
  • Very user-friendly and easy to understand even for those with not much knowledge
  • The interface is nice looking
  • Different charts are used to analyze different types of data
  • No capabilities to group numbers.
  • Impossible to aggregate the data altogether so sometimes it's hard to have a real overview of everything.
  • Even though I find the interface rather user-friendly and accessible to people new to data analysis, maybe it could be useful to have a step by step guide when starting using the tool.
Well suited to analyze data either to make better-informed marketing decisions in the future. It's also useful to get analytics reports and track statistics on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Better productivity
  • A better understanding of our users
  • Informing and influencing our marketing decisions
Amplitude Analytics is an easier tool to use. It requires less knowledge of SQL and as long as you have notions of data analysis and retrieving data in general. It is much more user-friendly and allows for easy and quick reporting. It can be used by different teams and therefore can be an easily shareable tool.
